MELBOURNE TO MURWILLUMBAH for McGRATH

Congratulations are well deserved for Syd and Nicki Reinhardt’s selfless efforts in raising funds and more importantly, awareness for the need for the placement of breast cancer care nurses in all areas of regional Australia.
Syd and Nicki met some wonderful women on their journey from Melbourne to Murwillumbah, survivors and battlers, as well as the nurses who care for them. Towns throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Canberra came out in force to welcome their Pink Entourage and people opened their hearts and their wallets for The McGrath Foundation.
The Festival of Speed on Tweed was honoured to be associated with the Foundation set up by the late Jane McGrath and her husband Glenn, and we are delighted to say that together we have raised $50.000.00.

Join Syd and Nicki Reinhardt in their 1929 Speed 6 Bentley on a 2000 km journey from Melbourne to Murwillumbah to raise funds for The McGrath Foundation.
Starting on Monday 8th September, 2008 Syd and Nicki will leave Melbourne and visit towns throughout country Victoria, the National Capital of Canberra, and New South Wales, finally ending up in Murwillumbah in time to compete in the Festival of Speed on Tweed.
We want as many people and well-wishers as possible to come out in support of this mammoth fund-raising effort and cheer Syd and Nicki along.
The itinerary of towns they will pass through is extensive, so check out the timetable below – keep an eye and an ear on your local newspaper and radio station for bulletins and help make their journey memorable and worthwhile.
