Car Clubs
"The 2008 Festival of Speed on Tweed will be our "Last Hurrah", the final opportunity your Club will have to showcase its fabulous cars to the thousands of spectators who come to Speed on Tweed. So make sure your Car Club brings as many of your cars to Murwillumbah as you can, to be part of this fabulous final event.
SHANNONS INSURANCE will be awarding their BEST CAR OF THE SHOW on Sunday only, but dont let that stop you from bringing your car for a drive on Saturday too. JIM RICHARDS and JOHN BOWE will be signing autographs on both days so its a great opportunity to get up close and personal with some famous V8 Supercar Drivers not to mention other Bathurst Legends like Fred Gibson, John French, John Goss , Colin Bond, Murray Carter, Bod Holden, Bob Jane, Norm Beechey and Denis Geary.
For judging purposes we would prefer cars to be parked in Marques or country of origin. If clubs want to park together they must travel/arrive together. To confirm your allocated space please have your club representative phone Glenn Potter well in advance and let him know how many cars are coming and arrange your parking space.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Get your Car Club members together and pre-purchase your Entry Tickets On-LINE for $20.00 per person per day or telephone Speed on Tweed office on (02) 6672 1796 for over the phone EFTPOS purchase
- Email / or telephone Glenn Potter, Speed on Tweed Car Club Co-ordinator, with the number of CAR PASSES your Club needs.
- Your CAR PASSES will be posted out to your Club Secretary WITH YOUR ENTRY TICKETS.
GETTING TO SPEED ON TWEED:
- From the Freeway (north or south) - Take the *Tweed Valley Way" exit to Murwillumbah.
- At the Condong Sugar Mill turn right & follow the Speed on Tweed signs.
- Turn left into Queensland Rd and stay in the left hand lane.
- Inform the Gate Attendant that you are a Shannons Show 'n Shine entrant and enter through the Harry Williams Gate.
NOT A MEMBER OF A CAR CLUB BUT HAVE A FABULOUS OLD, HISTORIC, MUSCLE CAR YOU WANT TO ENTER IN THE SHANNONS SHOW 'n SHINE? SURE ! see below:
- Pre-purchase your ticket on-line.
- Send an email nmiller@stacklaw.com.au with the message "NOT A CAR CLUB MEMBER" with your Paymate registration no. / or phone Speed on Tweed 02 6672 1796 after you have pre-purchased your ticket.
- Your Car Pass & ticket/s will be posted to you.
